Elle est victime d’un grave accident de bus qui l’immobilisera longtemps et la fera souffrir jusqu’à la fin de sa courte vie. C’est à ce moment là qu’elle commence à peindre.

Frida épousera 2 fois Diego Rivera, un célèbre artiste peintre, machiste et infidèle.

La peinture de Frida exprime toutes ses souffrances physiques et psychiques.

Elle lutera toute sa vie pour l’émancipation de la femme.

Aujourd’hui, Frida est une icône au Mexique et partout ailleurs. Je voue une admiration sans faille à l’artiste comme à la femme qu’elle était.
